    Default Kennecott/Nizina/Chitina Rivers............ Conditions?

We are planning on doing this float memorial day weekend. From research it sounds like this has historically been no issue this early. But because of the lingering snow/ice around the state there still may be some ice hazards present. Anyone have any reccomendations/predictions or current intel on this river. Contacted the air services and they haven't flown over. Anyone near there flown over the river lately?

    Any and all information/advice appreciated.

    Cody

I was looking at doing the same thing as you. I called Kennecott guides and they said the water is low but flowing. He said there doesn't seem to be a lot of ice in the water, but quite a bit still along the shore line. As far as my trip is concerned, we are still going to go. See you on the river.

another thing i thought to add...i'm going to go in with a pacraft, so you might have a bit of a harder time if your planning on rowing a big ol' raft or something
