Default Any New Udates on Winter Kill for Kodiak Island

My friend and me are heading to Kodiak this year. We will be heading to the Southern end of the island. I called the Game and Fish maybe four weeks ago and he told me they lost most of there yearling crop on Northern end of the island but that the southern end seemed good. He felt that most of the adult deer made it through the winter.

Has anyone else heard similar things or anything different. Has most of the snow melted, now?

    Kodiak Is.

    Angry south end kill

I don`t think F&G has done much of a survey. From what I have seen in Deadman, Sulua and Alitak Bays March and April were very bad months for the deer population on the South end
