How far did y'all make it? Y'all got a lot more ponies than my vintage RiverRunner appropriately named "Gremlin" but there's nothing better than being on the water...and it get from point A to point B.

Whatever gets you on the water. I ran low powered jet sleds for a few years and it is definitely better than not getting out at all.

Knik is actually easier to run at a low flow stage due to the channels being more defined leading to less room for error. Being Mother's Day and all I'm lucky to have made it on the water so there wasn't as much time to cruise as I would have hoped for. We made it a couple miles up the Matanuska and maybe 5 up Knik.

I just got my boat at the end of last year during duck season. I haven't run any of the rivers in AK. I'd like to get out and follow some of you guys who know the rivers so it'll be a less expensive way to learn them!

I want to make this happen, my Alaskan XL hasn't seen water yet. I've never run the Knik so I'm with DucksAndDogs it would be awesome to go with others who have. How far is it from the bridge to the glacier? WG, you must of really needed to scratch that itch, it doesn't look like you even have the registration identification on the boat yet :-) Sport looks great, enjoyed the vid.

Hoping someone shows up who has been to the glacier Ive never been up to it. If nothing else it will be fun just getting the boat out again. They are calling for snow on Saturday Im still going to get the boat out even if it snows. Hoping we have alot of boats it will just make it that much more fun

HCL and I have been up to the glacier a couples time last year. As was mentioned, low water is a bit easier for readin the channel. Hopefully I can keep it off the rocks. ha ha ha. Anybody bringing a power winch just in case? And as skybust mentioned about the weather, I think tops and heaters are in order for that trip for sure... "fishon"

Bob, I will have my winch, sand anchor and 400ft of rope. My luck you will be pulling me off the sandbars.
It will be a good trip..
