    Default Hooligan Netting

So this year will be my first time ever trying to net hooligan. Ive always seen people do it off Seward Highway by 20mile and the sorts. What im wondering is this. What kind of net do i need? If you could please post a link to sportsmans warehouse of one on there website. Also do they freeze well for multi year use? Is there any special license needed or stamps.

Thanks in advance. So tired of spending 100s on herring for a few days of surfcasting :P

The nets are small, anywhere from 18"-30" diameter with long handles and a fine mesh. I think even Wal Mart carries some. No special license, just a resident sport fishing license. I freeze about 20 in a gallon ziplock filled with water and get a couple of years out of them no problem.

These were a little spawned out but made great bait once we salted them up! I borrowed the net from a friend, I thought the mesh size was too small but then again we made two scoops and left! I'd say you need to go earlier to get the prime fish but not so sure about that this year.

When should I start trying for them?
