    Default Moose Quarter Size

Just wondering if any of you folks ever measured a moose hindquarter? I'm talking length and girth. I measured a front quarter a while back and it was about 48 inches long, but I never measured the girth. And I never measured a hindquarter. Strange question I know, but someone probably has done it. How about it?

I'm not talking about weight, but about physical size...

I have never measured one but I know a good sized hind barely fits(and needs a little convincing) through the opening in a Barney's pack so I would say somewhat close to that diameter ....
