    Default pike fishing in Minto.

Any of you been fishing there? I love pike fishing and recall a magazine article I read many years ago [40,actually] that was all about how terrific the pike fishing is there. True?

The winter spear fishing has really taken a toll on that fishery, there are still good fish, but it is not what it once was.

Wow the flat weedy water is exactly what I want. Love top water fishing for pike. How do you access it? drive in? 4 wheeler? Or fly in? Very Nice fish BTW I'd be thrilled.

We flew in, but you can access it by 4 wheeler or boat.

I have previously driven the road to minto towing a boat, and launching right from Minto. Never had any problems with parking and leaving vehicle while I fish for the day. The road is rough and slow driving will be prudent.

The fishing is exactly like what stid2677 says. Never caught any 40 inchers but lots of 35 inch and below. Be prepared to be disappointed if your looking for lunkers. It is a fun outing and you will catch some pike.
