Default Nice day shrimping on a crappy day in Whittier

Went out on Prince William Sound to see if we could find any shrimp. Weather got crappy, but we got a short soak in. Got a few dozen spots, two coonstripe, and this. It's a Spiny Lebbeid (Lebbus groenlandicus). Never seen one before, anyone else found one of these or one of Alaska's other strange shrimp?

Yep, we've caught a few of those over the years. Cool critters, for sure. Enjoy your shrimp dinner!

We see some of those in SE. Usually 1-2 per pull. Not huge numbers, but sounds like they're more common down here.
I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

I've caught a few. Kids like staring at them. Something different.

We got one last year I called it the "Marine shrimp" as in Semper Fi
To me it looked mean as hell and ready for battle.
