    Got to give a “Big Shout Out” to Ken ,, Yakutat Lodge,, for renting us one of his guide boat’s A ((( Pavati ))) with doors on the side Yeah… which made this cold trip even warmer. Thanks Ken… Nice Boat & Sweet Lodging... Thanks....

    depends if you are going with friends and need a guide. But if you rent a room, car, air fair, and fish your self you could probably do it for about 1,500-2,000. So bring buddies it can be done for half that easy.

    I did it for about 100 one year. Granted i used airline miles, hitch hiked out to the river and back my only cost was food!

    Car rental is 80 a day you can get a cabin for 300 a night that can hold 6 so it's pretty cheep if you go as a group

    Nice job. Headed to Yakutat for first time May 9...doing it ourselves. We steelhead fish quite a bit down here in Oregon hope our game travels at least a little!

    ahhh. timing is everything. We were there10-14 and fishing was much slower, at the lunch hole in your first picture, water was all the way up at the stump, did drop over the next several days and was getting real good by Sunday 14, but we caught the early plane out so didn't fish.
    looks like it was a great trip for yall.
