    Default Estimate?

    Hey guys,

    I'm looking at a Winchester Model 70 Classic 375 H&H stainless synthetic.

    How much is this worth?

They're asking $750 with a 4x Leupold mounted on it.

Worth it? Too much? A steal??

Don't know much about Winchester and even less about 375's.

    Any input is very appreciated

    Thanks,

    ~Jon

A good deal. The Win M70's were selling for about $750 new, and now they are out of production, which has only incresed their value. Used Leupold 4X's can be sold for $200. So figuring $550 for the rifle, not bad all. If I had $750, I wouldn't pass it up.

    Default Buy It!

If you have the means. They're pretty darned nice rifles, even without the 'collectable' status they're getting.
Around these parts, amazingly, it seems that late CRF M70's are bringing equal to or even more than pre-64 rifles, depending on chambering and stock configuration.
I wouldn't worry about picking the thing up to use, either. Could be the 'one' that you use the bejeebers out of and pass on to someone you care about WAY later on.

    Default The Three Seven Five

Run a few rounds through the action for a function test. If you don't buy it I am sure someone on this forum wants it. Buy it or send them to me and I will!

    Default Win .375 H&H

Ever since the closing of the Winchester New Haven factory, prices have, of course, gone up. The rifle you have been offered ranges from $1000.00 in "as new" condition to as high as $1500.00, which is awfully steep. So, for $750.00, that would be a good buy for a very useable firearm. like the man said, shoot the #$@%= out of it! It's what it was meant for.

    Thanks guys,
Picked the rifle up today; beautiful gun.
Gonna head on down to the range tomorrow and try 'er out.

Took it to Great Northern Guns; they said around $1200 for it without the scope.

Grab it! They aren't making anymore of them.
Is there nothing so sacred on this earth that you aren't willing to kill or die for?

Until early next year when the Winchester plant opens up in S.C., anyways.
