Planning on spending some time up in tangle lake this summer. Is there lakers in there as well? When is the best time of year for active fish? And can you take a boat with a motor o all the way north to the outlet?'ive fished grayling south of the road in early oct and done ok but never in the north lake. Thanks guys

I have making a late August or early September trip the past 3 years and I always seem to be productive fishing the lakes where the creek mouths are. I think you could boat over to the outlet but I haven't ever done it. That lake looks plenty deep!

I went last year to tangle lakes in June and it was awesome fishing. My daughters caught about 100 grayling each day fishing in about 6-8 hours. The lake trout are in there but really come to life in the wee hours of the morning/ late at
night. It's a great place up there and Miss Nadene at the lodge is a awesome host.

Are you guys talking a bout Tangle Lake up on the Denali Highway? I think you would head towards Paxton then go west on the Denali Highway? I want to fish that lake as well. I heard there were some nice lakers there as well... Any limit of the size of boat motor? "fishon"

Yes tangle lakes near Paxson. There are lake trout. They are not large lakes a canoe is all you need and you have to portage to the other lakes
