    Default Is it over???

Is it all over for the season in the Willow area? I wanted to get one more ride with the family this weekend to use up the last of the fuel in the tanks... Anybody have any updates they care to share???

It looks like Hatcher pass is still available for riding. We will be going to the landing tonight to see how the snow is holding up. I was out there on Monday and the snow was good, icy, but still ridable.

As with alaskan77, I'm also curious about the Willow Area... trying to stay out of the mountains (hatcher pas) as my 10yo doesnt have the experience or sled for that. We hit the river and trails from the Deshka landing last weekend and where snow remained it was in great shape, but curious what a weeks worth of sun has done to it. thx.

I havent been on the river in a while, but there is no significant loss of snow in the Willow area yet. Still thigh deep or more at my place...

Ride early in the day though, cause its gonna be sloppy once the sun gets up in the sky....like riding in oatmeal...

Eureka is still good, went to the Big O yesterday. No signs of melting yet, even in the afternoon sun.

Rode all day in the petersville area on Saturday. Plenty of snow even with the warmth.

No overflow and sweet trails! 3" of new snow.
I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out.

icy in willow, but plenty of snow left to get around on. really slushy in the afternoon, so early in the day is best.

All weekend I was able to enjoy plenty of snow, hard packed trails, a little hard in the mornings and very mushy off trail in the afternoon. Go hit it while it lasts!!!
