Default All around powder for reloading your Alaska rifles.

What is your all around powder for reloading..your favorite, if you only had one. I have 5 rifles of different calibers and would likely pick IMR 4350. What's yours??

IMR 4350 does seem to show up favorably in the book data for nearly all of my rifles. I want to play with RL17 more but for now IMR is the powder I maintain the most of on hand.

I could get by with R17 or H4350 myself.

If I had to pick only one, I guess I'd go with N560.

Forced to pick one, it would have to be IMR 4831 or the equivalent H4831 .

I've had great results with RL17 in everything I've tried it in....pretty much it and Trail Boss are all I stock now.

for what I am working with, I'd probably go with IMR 4831sc,...really like that stuff

and RL-17, is no doubt, way up there,...might be number one,...amazing velocities, second to 4831sc, in accuracy

If I only had IMR 4350, I would be Shooting Fine, for a long time, that would definitely work as the only One

Tough call between RL15 and RL17. They are both so versatile, but then again IMR4350 does everything I ever wanted it to. I just can't choose.

They just don't make one powder that works in the variaty of rifles I shoot. One of the 4350s would be hard to live without, but I need something intirely different for my small game and varmit guns and my 350mag and my 454 carbine. There isn't one powder with that wide a spectrum.

If I were going down to one it would be one of the 4895's or something right in that burn rate. Not ideal for all, but adequate for all. I've decided this will be the powder I put effort into stockpiling in case of long term shortage. I will still use others as they are available, but if left with what I have on hand 4895 will get the job done.

virtually impossible to find one powder to do it all. with that said, I could choose one brand of powder and never look back. That would be Alliant.

I'd be a very sad shooter if limited to one powder for my needs. If you mean what rifle powder I use the most of then that is Reloader 22....

Reloader 15 for my 22-250, 338-06, 375 H&H, all four of my 7mm-08. IMR 4350 for my 280. Working on some reduced loads for my 22-250 with trail boss.

I couldn't make it work effectively with just one. However, the one I use the most is RL-15....RL-22 is a close second.

If only one to pick it would be Varget hands down. Would prefer to have more. I do stick with Hodgen. I only recently bought some winchester for the pistol but only because I couldn't find my normal powder.
