I have a .44 Ruger Redhawk that is blued that I'd like to get powder coated to eliminate rust when I'm in the field. Is there anyplace in AK that I can get this done?

    Have you looked at hydrodipping?

Normal powder coating is far too thick you want Duracoat (spray epoxy) or Cerakote (baked on) or for fancy patterns hydradipping. But for the best true corrosion protection inside and out you’d want to send it out for hard chrome plating. All good systems but only hard chrome can do the insides too.

Salt bath Nitride is even better than Hardchrome IMO. It does all internal surfaces, APW used to plug bores to keep from plating them when doing Hardchrome, Nitride doesn't add to the surface as it is a chemical treatment as opposed to a coating or plating. It is just as tough as chrome, and more corrosion resistant, my favorite part about it is that it is Matte Black. We tell people that its tougher than woodpecker lips, it's that good.
