    Default New and improved....

.... sonar site coming to the Kenai in 2013.

Six weeks to the first day of counting.

Maybe see if I can tie the 2013 Kenai King Kontest to the kalibrated kount at the new king kounter?

That's serious backtrolling territory... wonder how operations will affect historic fishing patterns at this site.

That's between River mile 13-14, just down river from Stewart's Landing. I don't know how much fish that weir is going to get, some years that island is a peninsula. We used to own the land on the right side of the picture. My father-in-law once had a chance to buy that island for $2500. Passed it by.
I may be slow, but I get where I'm going!

I've fished that a few times and never picked any up, neat looking water for sure, any idea how they picked that site?

It's above tidal influence and has a suitable river bottom profile.

    Love it.

It's not that the Kings aren't showing up... It's just that we aren't counting them accurately.
