Default Knik river easter airboat run

The annual easter airboat run is going to be this sunday, 4-7-2013. I believe it was posponed due to the sportsman show. Anybody and any boats are welcome to join. I will be gathering firewood on wednesday evening if anyone wants to help.

It should be Saturday but I will update as I find out. Call Leonard Hare at Alaska Airboats. I've gone the last 3 years.

I hope to go this Saturday. Usually 50 to 70 people w/kids, families, hot dogs, lots of prepared food, big camp fire, easter egg hunt when we did it Easter day afternoon (after church of course). Up to 10 boats sometimes. This year it is this weekend or next. I hope this....

I'll have mine out to warm it up and stretch it out.

My boat will be for sale in May, in time for bear season.

I will email pics to anyone interested in a state of the art ultra-light. Our plans don't include the mainland in the future. See Leonards ultra-light airboat. It is the super-cub of airboats. Google Alaska airboats, checkout the ultra light.

Randy just called me and Leonard cancelled the airboat picnic outing until next Saturday, April 13 - due to 6" of snowy slop on some local roads.

Running the airboats is no problem, washing all the road glop off the airboat and trailering them there is more than many of us want to put up with. See you next Saturday. Life is good!

Hey, don't laugh at me. I am getting old.. LOL But I thought Randy told me Saturday. Cause I told him I had to do the Military sale at Sportsman's first. But either way it didn't happen.

Noon, Saturday the 20th (tomorrow) we will be gathering for a run on the Knik. I'll be packing a portable grill.
Anyone with a boat is welcome.
Currently 3 or 4 boats will be running.

    Default Knik ride to glacier

Pics from yesterdays ride. Beautiful weather, grizz tracks on the hillsides, BBQ'ing with friends.
