Question How deep is the snow around PWS this year, 2013?

Due to last year's "record" snowfall, it was still pretty much white, all the way down to the beach until June, 2012.
That seemed to cause most Black Bears to stay denned-up longer, and there were a lot of winter-killed Sitka deer.

This year sure was milder, at least around Anchorage. But, PWS may have had completely different conditions?
Any seasoned PWS travelers, that can offer a relative comparison of Spring snow cover, 2012 -vs- 2013?

    Thanx, Dave.

Here's some more weather cams. Things are looking a lot better this year. The guy to call would be Matt with Aquatec Water Taxi. If there's anyone who knows whats up out in the sound and is willing to chat and answer questions, it's him.

Was a mild winter on the Sound for the most part except for the recent dump. Unfortunately, this is the most critical time of year as to how snow affects the herd. Fat reserves are gone, fawns are coming, and the deer need to get on fresh sprouts. Continued deep snows this time of year can be killers. Hope for rain.
