    Default Place close to Anchorage

I just got done putting my top end back together and need to make a test run. I'm looking to go somewhere close to Anchorage one day after work this week. Does anyone have a report from any of the following: Portage, Bird Creek area, Eklutna or Maud road? Or anywhere else close and safe?
I just need to buzz around for about a hour, not looking for lots of snow. I just don't want be dealing with water/over flow or a bunch of rocks.

    Thanks ahead of time!

Placer. The flats are boilerplate but it's smooth and rock-free enough for test runs.
If cave men had been trophy hunters the Wooly Mammoth would be alive today

Thanks Erik. Looks like I'll try to head there. Man the snowmachine forums are really dead this year...

I guess I have never heard the term, but what would you condsider "bolierplate" conditions?

Boilerplate= close to needing ice scratchers, crusted over.

Cool thanks for clearing that up. Ya it seems like you need scratchers almost everywhere this time of year.
