Default Memorial Day Lake Creek Float

Is it feasible to float the river from the lake to the confluence over memorial day weekend? Looking to plan a memorial day weekend trip. If so how is the fishing then? Rainbows hungry post spawn? Any kings that early? I know many of the lodges open that weekend.

A little early, but likely doable. Fishing won't be very good with spring runoff. expect cloudy river conditions, so fly fishing would probably be slow for a couple of weeks. A little early for kings.

Thanks Larry. I figured the rainbows would be fairly aggressive as this is just post spawn, anyone else have any other opinions? Is it correct lodges are open this time frame to fish clients?

Doubt that Chelatna lake the headwaters to lake creek will be open by then to land on. No kings up the creek by that time by probably plenty of grayling and trout.
