    Default Bear Hide Question

I am going to be doing some black bear hunting this fall. If I am lucky enough to get one I want to take it to someone who can finish fleshing it, have it tanned and mailed to me in the lower 48. It would need to be close to Anchorage, I used one such service when I lived up there and was not very impressed so I am looking for other options.

You can take it to ANY licensed taxidermist & have them flesh it, & then it can be sent to ANY tannery for proccessing.

Wildlife Gallery in Michigan, or Golden State tannery in California is whom I would have tan it.

Then have it sent to your adress dirrectly from the tannery.

I have used Alpa several times & there was always an issue with findind my skins after they were sent to them.

Always got them back but a pain in the butt to deal with.

If your going to be around Anchorage, call Jesse AKA Hoytguy.

He will send it in for ya.

+1 on Jesse aka Hoytguy. Solid, dependable.
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed
