That is an easy one to DIY from a short chambered barrel with a rentable pull through reamer. Any smith can do you fine on it, accurising takes the knowledge. Do you know what barrel you want yet? We talking M1 or M1A, 30-96 or 308?

The little know predecessor, the 1896 .30 cal cartridge used black powder. It was later redeisgned into the .30-06 with smokeless powder.

Float: You might try to contact Chief Warrant Officer 3 (Ret.) Ken Corcoran, North Pole, AK. His name has come up a couple of times in various posts concerning M14 rifles. Let us know his status if you contact him.

If you want his phone number send me a PM.
Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

I've got the jigs, barrel vise and wrenches, pull through reamer, etc. in Fairbanks. I've barreled up a couple dozen over the years. PM if interested.

You can't do any better than Craig. He knows his stuff. Top long range shooter too.
