    Default H322 Powder 350gr A-Frame's

Hello everyone. I have been lurking on your site for quite sometime now. Finally I have a question for all of you re-loaders. By all means I am not new to re-loading just have never loaded the 45-70. I am starting from scratch working up a load for my new Marlin 45-70G using the Swift 350gr A-Frame Bullets. I have not found any load data specifically for the A-Frame. I have been to Hodgdon web site and looked at their data which is for a 350gr Hornady JRN bullet. I understand that they are two completely different bullets but was trying to gain a place in which to start loading the A-Frame. I am using H322 Powder because this is what I have. I have decided to start with 48grs of H322 powder, 350gr A-Frame bullets, New Remington cases, CCI 200 primers, OAL of 2.230. Am I fix-in to blow my self up or would all agree this would be a good start? Looking for a H322 load somewhere 1900, 2000 FPS.

Handloader mag. had a lot of loads for 45/70 in the #248 issue.
I don't have my copy in front of me, but I'll check for those bullets/loads next time I am in the shop.

You can order back issues at the site below.
