cdubbin, What a nice view you have there! And nice pics of it also. There are just a bunch of woods around our place, no view of the mountains, what a shame. I didn't notice there was another thread for sunsets in the photography section...
Do you have to have a photobucket account to download bigger photos here?

I don't think it's the only way, but it's what I do; very easy to set up.

Just toward the end of sunset, around 10:00PM on a mountain ridge near Fairbanks during moose season.

    Took this awhile back
I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Those that are successful in Alaska are those who are flexible, and allow the reality of life in Alaska to shape their dreams, vs. trying to force their dreams on the reality of Alaska.

If you have a tenuous grasp of reality, Alaska is not for you.

Here are a some of my favorites.

This one's my favorite and is in a frame on my desk at work.

    This one's a sunrise not a sunset, but it's a good one.

This was taken in the dead of winter near lake Louise where the sun doesn't show until about 11. The moon was still setting in this one but you can see the light from the sun. It was a very foggy morning on top of that and made from some pretty cool effects.
