Default A week on the Sound

I had some friends up from the lesser 48 for a week last summer to play out on Prince William Sound. Two of them had come up to play before, one was a virgin. We took two boats and had a couple of youngsters along as well. I brought my son and the other boat owner brought his son as well. Our two families spend more weekends rafted up than not. We had three or four go pros going at all times and two or three point and shoots capturing memories in HD, too. We shot 120+gigs of HD video and took several thousand pictures throughout the five days. One of the guys put together several videos documenting the trip. Man, what a backyard we have to play in. It never gets old. Here are a few videos to help get ready for spring. They were uploaded at 720P, so watch it at the higher resolution if you have ability. I am only able to attach one clip per post.

One of the homes for the week.

I wish I could take credit for the video. I am certain that it took days to go through and edit the many hours of video we shot. With a 2nd and 4th grader, I am lucky to have time to play on the forum.

I was wondering if you would catch that! Good eye! Enjoyed rafting up and sharing conversations and libations. We should do it again.

Man Alive, that Prince William Sound,...what a bountiful playground
Ten Hours in that little raft off the AK peninsula, blowin' NW 60, in November.... "the Power of Life and Death is in the Tongue," and Yes, God is Good !

The editing was done on a Mac using iMovie. It is not that difficult IMO, if you have the right tools and the time. Once you use a Mac you will not go back. We uploaded several hours of HD video each night. I say we, but should clarify that it was Scott. He was up for a couple hours after the rest of us hit the rack and was up before any of us. I bet the guy only slept two or three hours each night. He didn't miss much and did a fantastic job with the editing. There are lots of tutorials out there to get you started if you have the time.

You bet! I was able to stream them through our blu-ray player onto the flat screen. Sure beats watching it on the computer.
