    Default Ten hours...

...and then the plane takes off for the Midwest! Hoping to hammer some snows Tuesday - Friday. Taking a few cameras as well as 2 go pros. Maybe when we get back we'll have some decent footage of the carnage!

I suppose I am going to get a text with a pic every day with all these birds, just to torture me.

We're actually going to Arkansas, now. Matt called and said there's a front coming through and Mound City may get 12"-18" of snow this week. He thinks it may hold birds up or even push some back south. We're gonna be in Arkansas and hopefully in a field underneath them all!

Well i hope that doesn't mess up my plans. Did Matt contact you and did you have to change your plane tickets? If so how much was it to change them? I can't wait to start shooting.

He let us know about a week ago that it may be Arkansas and then let us know for sure yesterday. We didn't change tickets, we're just gonna drive. One of the guys in our group is coming down from MN so we're all gonna pitch in for gas and take his rig down to Arkansas. Headin to the airport in 4 hours. We'll take pictures...

I might have to extend my stay there for an extra day if I have to drive to Arkansas. But if the shooting is better it wont bother me a bit. 8 hour drive after traveling all day then another 8 hour drive after hunting 4 days will suck. A lot can and I am sure will change in 2 and a half weeks though. The best of luck to you and Keep me posted i want to see pics.
When you get back to Alaska if you dont mind PM me your number and we can talk more about your hunt when you get back. i am sure i'll have more questions.....18 days till I leave

I have been watching the number of snows at the Squaw creek refuge get smaller and smaller over the last two weeks. Its not looking too good for us. i am keeping positive though and still cant wait to get there but I do wish I coud change it and go a week later but I have up coming surgery so the dates are non changeable.
It was good to talk to you DucksandDogs and thanks for the report of your hunt. I hope we can get together for some hunting this fall.
