Default Denali Highway Trail Report 2/14/13

Wow, have we put some snow down over the last month. Riding on and off trail is excellent right now! I've been up Valdez Mine Road, Butte Creek, Butte Lake and Sheep Valley trails and the riding is spectacular! Very few folks have been out and about, so you could ride weeks without crossing another snow machine track. The road from Cantwell to Alpine Creek is in great shape. Also, the Denali Highway was groomed a couple of weeks ago by the Denali Highway Trails Club from Paxson to MP90. Was in great shape, but a lot of snow and some wind has covered the grooming.

Now is the time to come up and do some riding! Ptarmigan hunting is excellent! Lot's of birds on the West side of the Susitna where it's open. Lot's predators out and about also.

    Enjoy your spring riding!
