Thread: Parking my 5th wheel in Alaska

Default Parking my 5th wheel in Alaska

I am returning to Michigan in April to pickup my 5th wheel toy hauler and I am looking for a place to stash my 5th wheel (40') for a couple of weeks in late May 2013 on the Richardson Hwy (AK-1), Glenn Hwy (AK-4), or the Glenn Hwy/Tok Cut-Off (AK-1). The closer I can leave it to Tok, the better. I will compensate for the space usage and if possible, a 15 amp plug-in.

I should have some space in the garage area if someone needs something brought up from the Great Lakes area. Vernor's Ginger Ale or Kogel Vienna hot dogs anyone? The $15/day at a state site is too steep for unoccupied camping. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just a thought, try the Sourdough Campground in Tok.. http://www.sourdoughcampground.com/Contact_Us.html They have some areas that don't seem to get much use in May.
