    Default Kisaralik River

Over the last few years a bud and I have floated the Goodnews, Arolik, and Kanektok. We're in the process of gathering intel on the Kisaralik as a possible float this August. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

If you're looking for information on the Kisaralik, you might have a look at our River Information Page. There's a chart at the bottom of that page, with about 450 rivers on it, all linked to the various books and DVDs that feature those rivers.

    Best of luck!

a fair amount of wood and braids, nothing death defying, very nice rainbows. That's the short version I have from two guys who have been there. That's the one big one out there I haven't had the chance to see....and likely won't....so please share when you get back.

Papa Bear Adventures runs a top notch operation out of Bethel. We floated the Kwethluk this past Sept with them and were very impressed and will use them for many future trips. I watched a dvd of the Kisaralik while there and it looked like a nice float. Two guys got off the Kisaralik the same day we got back from the Kwethluk. They seemed to have enjoyed it and spoke of the big set of rapids. One of which they ran and one they portaged. Aside from this set of rapids and the overall length (near 100 miles as I recall) it sounds about as straight forward as any other area river. Again, this is all second hand info, but I have heard from several folks over the years about this river and the info is consistent. If you find the time, shoot me an email danattherock@hotmail.com about the Arolik. Gave thought to floating it this June. Curious what your impression was, when you went, put in/take out, etc...
