    Default Kodiak fly fishing

I've got a Spring bear tag for Kiluda Bay, Kodiak Island. I was thinking about bringing along my six piece 6 wt. is there any fishing to be done in the streams there?? If so what patterns and sizes are recommended. I would only want to take a small box.

    Thanks Much

I've been to Kiluda Bay twice in the spring & once in the fall. No fish in the spring, plenty of pinks & chums in the fall. Hope this helps.

Never been there specifically, but should be at least some dollies in there and if nothing else...heck, even starry flounder at the mouth. Take a box of clousers and you'd be set.

Hard to say on the Dollies, they usually will be in salt from April until early June but could easily be near the mouth if you are in mid to late May.....and as Fly said....there should be no lack of flounder that will wack about anything that moves at the mouth.

Not sure about the river you are fishing but the Starries on the Olds are a blast. Can reach 5#'s
