Default Perry Island Oysters first week of June

Snowy day here in the interior, dreaming of sunny days and fresh seafood. Like others, can't wait for the next change of season. Been studying the "Cruising Guide" for the past month, contemplating our two trips that we will be able to make to PWS this summer. Since we haven't been to Perry Island, and I love fresh oysters, my wife and I will make Perry Island Oyster Farm our first trip of the season. We have scheduled the first of June leaving Valdez and heading southwest. We are going to pick up some friends in Whittier and spend a week cruising between Perry Island and Eshamy Bay. Would be interested in who else might be on the water about that time.

Can't wait. It's been over twelve years since the opportunity has presented itself to indulge in fresh oysters.

We just spent 4 days in Oregon sampling pinot noir wine and eating lots of [oysters] fresh seafood.
I can attest to the fact fresh from the water Royal Waves oysters are second to none.
After sampling at least 8 varieties of Oregon's finest oysters, I learned the size Royal Wave produces are absolutely perfect.
We had smaller and we had much larger but I definitely prefer their medium's.

Troy and Melissa have done an excellent job bringing the oyster farm back to life. I cannot wait for the next visit.

Spending my kids' inheritance with them, one adventure at a time.

I am coming out there this weekend and I would like to pick up some Oysters. I am not sure how I would do this. It looks like you are at Perry Island? South? Is there a dock I pull up on? Any info would be great.

It's easy. As you pull into the bay, call them on the radio (Ryal Wave oyster farm) and give them an ETA with your order.
They will meet you in the skiff or on the floating dock.
