This page with 60 different AR-15 mags. (http://www.44mag.com/category/223_ar15_magazines/a) and all out of stock, I am truly starting to think this time it really is different. It very well could be that it will never be the way it was.

    Sportsman Guide says...

    WX2-84418 - Mil.-spec 20-rd. M14 / M1A Mag
    Sorry, item temporarily unavailable.
But it looks like they were around $35 before they ran out...

I bought 3 Springfield mags a couple weeks ago at a local shop god $45 each. I've seen Checkmate for about $35-$40 at gun shows. If you can find them at that price bug a bunch. I found some. DSA FAL 25 round mags for $40 at the same shop.

I am trying to figure the value of one of my safe queens.
The poor girl has not been shot in over 10 years.

Looking on gunbroker it looks like they are going for around $45.

Paraphrasing something I read the other day,

"In less than a month every military style rifle, mag, and box of ammo produced in the last 100 years has vanished from every gun shop and warehouse around the country."

I bought 4 from an individual locally about 3 weeks ago. 3 were BRW/SI GI mags, one suspected chinese unmarked. All in nice shape. Paid $100.00 for all 4.

I had a couple low ball offers from out of state.
The way things are going maybe I will just hold onto the 10 pound M1A.
I need to find a good hand-load for it since it is not all that wonderful with regular M-80 de-link machine gun ammo. And being a stock military twist barrel, it does not like the longer match ammo any better.

Anyone have a good handload for a short barreled M1A ??
