Default BAR, what is it worth?

I have a 74 grade II made in Belguim Browning in 7mm mag. It has been parkerized & has a vari-XII on it. Average condition,bar1.jpgbar2.jpg needs a cleaning but shoots fine. What would be a reasonable price to ask for this?

There are currently four 7mm BAR's on Gunbroker for less than $800.00, one for around $1,100.00 and a high grade for $880.00 no reserve.

I generally go there to see what the market is currently offering on weapons. It's a good feeler the price that people can actually get. It really boils down to what someone is willing to pay. If you have something really special then a little extra salesmanship can help.

    Default completed items

Do a search on the completed auctions and see which ones sold and what they actually sold for. Just looking at the listings can be a bit deceiving.

It would be worth more if it had the browning blue job.

Any other finish degrades the rifle in value
