    Default First time burbot fishing!

Went out on my own last week to try and catch some burbot. Found a spot on the Tanana river and put out 7 hooks with whitefish and herring. I was pleasantly surprised when I caught 3 burbot. The largest one is 36 inches long!

After eating burbot this last weekend, the family decided that I needed to go try and catch some more! They are a very good eating fish.
