    Default Male husky questions...

Hey all, I have a male pup @ 1.25 years old, & his penile shaft has two large bulges on both sides, & his scrotum doesn't seem full, I am wondering if this is natural, as the testies need to drop, is this correct? & if they need to drop, when will they drop...

    Thanks in advanced...

Marv, doesn't sound normal to me. Never seen it happen so can't really say more than that. Good luck,

Default hopefully, you have this figured out . .

The swelling is normal in a male dog with an erection. The testicles should be in the scrotum by this age but may be small.

    Default But the swelling

looks like two testicles on each side of the penile shaft, & they're still there...

Just my 2cents, but I have a 2 1/2 yr old male Malamute who is neutered, and he also has the bulges right at the base of his shaft. I have never noticed them changing size or anything abnormal, and I keep a pretty close eye on his health and condition. I doubt that they are his testes, as I had his removed when he was a pup, but I have always been kind of curious about them. Please let us know if the vet in Bethel offers any clarification.

    Cheers!

    Post Found this....

Not a great amount of detail, but it does show the "bulbous part of the glans" at the base of the penile shaft, which may be along the lines of what we have been feeling.

Maybe this will shed some light on the topic. Thoughts?

    Cheers!

    Default I guess they are...

Bulbus part of the Glans, as his testies are now swinging away & he now lifts his leg to pee, so I guess everything is AOK...
