    This fish was caught in the Tanana River. It was a female that was 42" long.

    Wow, that will be some great eating, I wish they got that big on the Big Su/ Yentna rivers. When I was a kid I remember catching lots of good size burbot every spring on the Yentna (4-6 lbs) Now it seems there are not many and what I do catch are very small. Anyone else notice a decrease in burbot size and numbers on the Susitna/Yentna rivers over the past 15-20 years?

    Very Nice fish I just was talking to my wife about setting Burbot lines on the Tanana. Where abouts on the Tanana were you? I have never set lines before
