    Smile Trail Report/ Alaska's Winter Park Cabins/ Willow 12/27/12

Willow is still in good shape!
OK!!! No new snow. But 15 inches of light wind blown. Temps in the 20's durring the day.
We put in 280 fleet miles on Wed. and Thurs. with med size drags.
Kicked up some stumps and dirt clods put the trails smooth out nicely.
Rivers are wind blown but not bad.
Swamps that are small and north ends are best to play in!
Watch out for the Dog Mushers as they are doing heavy training this time of year.

Cabins are full this weekend!!! So always plan ahead.
We hope to see you in Willow. And be safe out there!

Anyone out riding today?? What are the trail conditions after this heatwave we had today?? I've got bare spots on my lawn in ER.

Test drove a machine on big lake today and it had turned to crap since xmas day. Rough windswept bad.

Was out in Willow on Saturday. Put 70 miles on the sleds. Good break-in for a friends rebuilt motor. Was windblown in a lot of areas, but we found 2 awesome areas that we could really play in. Wanted to say thanks to TrailBoss, we had a great time.

I thought i had already done this, but obviously was mistaken.

We were out on the Willow Trails Committee system this weekend and Bill and the group have done a outstanding job. We haven't had any snow to speak of, but the trails were smooth, marked and ready to go. I was on the Big Swamp, Rolly Creek, Crossover and several of the others.

The LSDA trail from Deshka Landing to Scary tree was marked well with as good of conditions as can be expected with no snow on the river. Hopefully we get some more snow this week to even it out...

We hauled my fourwheeler in from the cabin and spent a nice weekend clearing our cabin trail from the blowdowns. Lots of extra firewood for the bonfire and getting ready for ArcticMan...

Was at our cabin over Christmas break. Rode many of the Willow trails. They were all in great shape. Thanks to the Willow Trail Committe!
