Default Memory Maker - First season on the water - Pic Heavy

Okay, I am staring at pictures a lot already so figured I would do a recap of the first year on the water with the new boat. I love heavy picture posts so here it comes!

As you all can imagine I was on pins and needles last winter waiting for spring so I could splash Memory Maker for the first time. I had brought her home in October and spent until January putting the final touches on her. I was eagerly awaiting that point in the process where I could start making some memories and putting some distance from the pain (some of you know what I am talking about).

Here is the thread on the boat build that many of you followed:

The day finally came on April 14th and we put it in the water. Rather than duplicate a lot on the forum here is a thread on the first run:

Once the motor break in was done and all systems tested good the family was chomping at the bit to get on the water.

Oh, and canít forget the pupÖ

Once we left the dock is was mammaís turn to get some time behind the wheel

We got pots in the water in time to get a pull in before dinner, first night on the water we had to have shrimp.

The rest of the trip we had a great time shrimping, beach combing for hermit crabs, played games, etc.

She spent a lot of time behind the wheel this summer, we crossed 2,600 miles on the GPS odometer and she was there for a lot of it.

Love seeing the girls get involved

Gotta have a burger or ten!

Been a while since we saw a boat pic

Memorial weekend I took my cousin out for a spring bear hunt. Spent some time on the hook with Spoiled One and his fam. Here are two threads from that weekend

Guess I should post some fishing pics!

My 15 year old cousin and another 15 year old family friend from the lower 48 came up this summer and I took them out, we caught a few 25-40 pounders but this one was the highlight. 148lbs. based on the tide book.

    Made a couple chicken runs

Kids love rides in the raft

    So do I!

I realized I donít have many pics from the last couple of trips. Weather was snotty.

Finally made it to the Perry Island Oyster farm and plan to visit Royal Wave regularly next summer!

We are rich beyond measure to have the opportunity to enjoy God's great land, and PWS is at the top of my list!

Lots more where those came from but this helped me dream a little. I hope you enjoy as well!

What better way to start making the memories with your family than spending the summer in PWS.

I think these are my favorite threads. Nothing like a picture heavy thread to help me get through the winter. Sure looks like you guys had a great first season with the new boat. Can't wait to catch up with you guys this coming summer. Thanks for posting and keep them coming.
