    Default First King

My guess is may 8 homer spit. I caught one there last year on this date. They seem to start arriving a week or so earlier there than up here in ship creek. If not there my guess is the deshka May 9.

A few years ago we got our first on the Little Su on May 12. It should be any day for the Kenai Penninsula streams I would imagine.

    Default Ship Creek

My vote is Ship Creek 10 May. I say this because a friend is going to be practically living there for the next few weeks. He leaves the state at the end of the month and is determined to get a Ship King before he leaves. I personally am going to play the field as I don't leave until early June.

    Cheers,

    Default little sue

I say Little Su May 6th, I think they will be a few days early this year, plus there will be a few more anglers trying their luck.

March 17 for the Taku River. May have been a winter salt king a ways up the river at high tide, but he was in the river!

My bets are on sheepman to post a nice pic in the next 10 days.

Let's hear a little more about the alleged Kenai King. To my knowledge that would be the second earliest caught. I know of a King caught on April 25, 1998. But I would love to hear more about the April 27th fish.
