    Cool Harding Lake ....whitefish...

    Has anybody fished for whitefish in Harding .there is some large schools of whitefish in there......have anybody been marking these schools ...with flashers or cameras .. what depth to start.......? they feed good at night.... on bottom best fishing....

    Have seen very large schools of baitfish on the Vexilar. I have wanted to try and capture some of those baitfish to see what size they are and to confirm what they actually are.

    I think they are least cisco:

    An annual ADF&G report (volume 26-Doxey) cited stomach contents of 10 fish captured in 1984 consisted of least cisco, slimy sculpins, and in small lakers, insect remains. The report also makes reference about large quantiies of cisco in the lake.

    yup seen my flasher light up like a xmas tree fish alround my lure from 60ft all the way to bottom 125. Caught nada. It was later in the season around march

    looks like we need to get a camera down there ciscos hang middepth...humpies ....on bottom ....need 150 foot of cable on the camera....whitefish feed best at night....for humpies single egg #16.hook.1/64 slip sinker....short leader 4in.... 2# braid line.....small slip bobber...not today -50.....soon..

    Now its warmed up a bit --0-- its time to find them whitefish.. Lakers.. going to harding this week...still need to buy a flasher unit..used..?.trade.. how thick is the ice ...ext....???/

    Use your extension it will save your back. Lots of super hard packed snow on top. Ice pretty thick.

    Is it leagle to chum for whitefish in harding..? 30ft-50ft flats off deep water shoud work ! Need camera....!!!!!
