Default Big seas, not so big boats video

Interesting video. Must be pretty confident in their boat and skills, especially not to be wearing a life preserver. http://youtu.be/ByGSMmenPDM

Reminds me of crossing the bar on the Columbia. Those cats must have wanted to get home awfully bad, looks like they sacrificed a couple lives there.

    OMG. T

This proves, once again, a universal constant. People are crazy.

THAT is an UGYLYYYYYYY bar and who in their right mind would attempt that over and over again. So just for grins, was there a way to turn the boat around after the first four times they were all the way sideways and swamped? I would not know, nor care to find out. Or, was is one of those situations that once you are in it, you have to go full speed ahead and take it on the chin because there is no other way but down.

Those boats needed to take the nuts out of the wheelhouse and put them in front of the hamsters turning the wheel.

Without those self bailing decks, they would be been crab bait early in the video. Lucky fools they are!

Would love to know if they ever made it across the bar.

    Howdy gents
we were just in Greymouth 2weeks ago visiting friends, and believe it or not, that's pretty much a common occurrence there for the fisherman. The Greymouth bar gets like that often and the local fisherman seem to know it pretty well. Tough bunch of guys over there, coal miners, fisherman. Our friends couldn't remember an accident out on the bar.
