Default Bitter Sweet day on the trap line.

Well the check was a decent check for this week. I had an otter pull out of a #3 foothold and another otter slip out of a snare. Was able to pick up this nice Lynx this weekend. The sad part about it was i caught it a week before the season opens in my area for them. So the state has a nice early Christmas present from my trap line. I was able to connect on a coyote that was working my bait pile as well as i picked up another snowshoe hare. So not a bad check on the line in my opinion for a rookie.

Congrats on the catch and also on the integrity to turn it in, sorry it had to go that way!
When asked what state I live in I say "The State of Confusion", better known as IL....

Ah i look at it this way as a learning experience and the positive side is the coyote hide is absolutely stunning and i get to keep that.

Yeah that's a real bummer about your lynx. I kinda know the feeling. I called one in a few weeks ago and shot it but it got away. I commend you on your integrity. I am a firm believer in what comes around goes around. I believe you will be rewarded in one way or another for doing the right thing. Either in this life or the next. Good job on the coyote as well.
