    Default Allow me to introduce...

...my new hunting buddy! This is Rigby who is my new Llewellyn English Setter. He comes from a long line of Grouse hunter'son the upper peninsula of Michigan. Ipicked him up on the way back home from a business trip in New Jersey after along search for the right breeder and timing of a litter. My search started about a year ago and I gotthe pick of the males of the litter of which there were 5. We flew the pup to the airport in Newark fromGreen Bay where I met him and we flew home together in the cabin. I'm sure he thinks I rescued him from theevil place. He was looking dejected inhis kennel in Newark Air cargo! I took acouple days off after the trip and he and I have been kicking around the bushesaround the house. He is a great newmember of the family and boy do I have some adventures for lined up in theyears to come!

I like em! he looks like a "serious" pup when it comes to what he was bred to do.

Welcome to Alaska Rigby. May you enjoy a long life filled w/ adventures, your new partner by your side and birds in your mouth. I hope for you that he lets you ride on the seat of the truck, that he can shoot straight and is trainable. A good dog like you deserves nothing less.

    Great looking pup!
I currently hunt with English pointers. A month ago I was hunting chuckars and found a lost English Setter. I had her for 3 days before her owner could pick her up. I must say, that was one heck of a and will probably be my next breed. The ol English Pointers just don't have enough hair for Alaska IMO.

Absolutely gorgeous pup! I'm envious. I want another pup. Best of luck to both of you. Let the adventure begin!

I know. I have this mental picture of some grouse or ptarmigan scratching himself in the thicket and turning around to see that mug on point!

Yeah, and with this snow getting deeper, if he isn't porpoising he is low crawling! The good thing is that if I can't see him, all I need to do is listen for the sound of him chewing on something and it will give his position away and he's busted!
