    Can any one tell me if there is any good halibut fishing out of Whittier? Name of reputable charter?

    I've heard good things about Matt, also but haven't fished with him.

    Can't remember Matt's last name, but if he is the skipper of the SweePea... he is an awesome charter captain. Went out with him about 10 years ago and got lots of good fish. After all these years, he should be even better at what he does now!!

    Give Kristen a call at www.saltwaterexcursions.com to go out and crush the halibuts. She rocked the dock last spring and had a great picture of her haul for the front of the ADN. She also uses high quality gear instead of pool cues and does combo charters as well.

    Have been out with Mat every year for over 10 years now , an still countain he is one of the best captin's over there bar non enjoy
