Went for a short hike today. Found one ram who still needs another year to make legal who was following around a ewe. Had another young ram within archery range.

Sounds like an awesome hike, especially for a short one! I need to get on of those in soon as I am already getting antsy with these holidays and to much time watching football (if thats possible).

I'ld rather watch a Ram in person instead of my Rams on TV right now.

Wasilla doesn't have any snow at all. It has a half inch in random places but that is it.

I was hoping to get enough snow so I can get a little cross country skiing in before my vacation to the desert. Still have plenty of time, but I am getting a bit antsy!

The recent pictures of Dall Sheep along the Seward Highway made me put my thinking cap on ... are there any other coastal mountain sides that sheep live on?

Depending on where you are headed you may have a better chance over here!

For anyone wanting to see the Turnagain sheep please don't drive 40 mph in a 55 mph zone looking up at the cliffs while you have a bunch of cars behind you. Just pull over already!

Waited for it to climb above zero degrees then headed down the arm. Weather was actually OK once you got moving. There were a few rams on the mountain before I started climbing and I managed to find one of them up top.
