Default POW Hunt..... pow, pow, pow!

Son #2, his wife and myself spent last week over in the Coffman Cove area chasing deer and actually getting a few.

Both she and I bagged one the first hunt day, saw nothing the next day, third day my son took a forkie, 4th day daughter-in-law missed one in the morning before we put her on a plane in Thorne Bay to head back home. 5th day we passed on a forkie and the last day we passed on one more forkie and a 2x3.

All in all we had a great trip, didn't see the quantity of deer we normally see but had a great time.

Very nice. I've been thinking about taking my 8yo son out there next year for deer.

Why is it that a pretty girl with a gun over a dead animal always gets my attention?

    Thanks King :-)

I'm glad you didn't say an old guy in a hat gets your attention.

That bigger racked buck had some potential as an old boy.

We were thinking the same thing but decided not to give him the chance.

Yeah, Al, the first couple days it was clear and cold and then got ugly then uglier as the trip proceeded. Our last hunt day was rain blowing sideways but it was all fun.

Nice! Did you call them in or do alittle spot and stalk? I'm taking my boat to POW sometime in December. Hopefully my son can get him one or two.

The first two deer shot and the one the daughter-in-law missed were the only ones that came to calling.

My son will be back down here in December and we hope to take the boat over to finish out the tags.

You are REALLY trying to get me to come back down there aren't you! Thought I was done harassing the POW bambis.

Well, Al, I always thought they were quite safe when you were around.

Thank you sir, it doesn't get much better than that. And, the blue stuff didn't hang around very long.
