Default Adding more line to existing anchor line

There is an easy answer to this, I'm sure, but if ya'll would point me in the right direction(s):

I want to add another 200' to my existing anchor line. I 'could' braid it myself...but I'd rather trust a professional. Who does this?

    Thanks in advance.

Depends on what kind of anchor line it is. There are a couple businesses in town that splice - google it and you'll find them (I don't remember their names offhand)

If its 3 strand i'll do it for ya no problem. Maybe think about doing a eye splice on each end and then hook it together with a stainless locking link, then you can keep the extra stored away till you need it. PM or email me if you want me to do the splice.

If it's thre strand, it's easy. Steve showed me how to do it and I got carried away and spliced all kinds of rope. Shrimp pot lines and my anchor too. Easy stuff.

The OP was clear that he was looking for someone to do the work, as opposed to DIY, but I thought others might be interested in this link with instructions for splicing 3-strand, 12-strand, double-braid, etc.
