    Default First success!

This is my first year making an attempt to trap, and it's been a blast. Started out in a decent area, but it just didn't feel quite right. So we packed up and moved to a new spot on Saturday, and boy, am I glad we did! My friend, who helped me move everything, set a couple of snares for himself when I was setting mine. Sure enough, the first thing we checked was one of his, and he nailed a beautiful cross fox under an old spruce log! He's been after a fox for a few years now, so I was stoked to be a part of his first one!

Thanks everyone, no more luck this so far this week, but we're setting more snares every day and remaining hopeful!
