Heading out Monday..... Just wanted to see if any new updates.... Hows the snow out there?
Anyone been getting any scooters? Last year seen a couple of them. going to try to find more of them hopefully monday..
Goldeneyes and Haliquens are everywhere. Just them Scooters are hard to locate...

We saw a few around last Sunday, but mostly Harlequins and Goldeneyes. We saw 3 Oldsquaws right outside of the passage canal, but couldn't get up on them. Good luck, we got weathered out today, but may be able to get another trip in before the season is over.

I'm very jealous, Homer/Seldovia is awesome! I wish I would have been able to line up a hunt with Buck this year, but went to Kodiak instead.

Mother nature played a good one on us!!!! we got there and the wind was so bad it push my truck sideway... The boat was rocking on the trailer.
So in the end, it was a quick turn around..
Stop by Harbour master office and had a cup of Coffee with her and chatted.
    Hoping next week better

Wife and I are taking the dog down for a business retreat. Got a groupon hotel with a spa and should the weather prove right, we'll get the boat, dog, guns, and maybe the downrigger balls wet.

    Hopin for a longtail!

Sooo, what's the sentiment or actual information on ducks in Whittier? I'm heading out there this weekend to get part of my TurDuckEn. Was hoping to check out the head of Pigot and go to Harrison Lagoon. Any other places in Port Wells that I should check out? Coghill, perhaps?

For you guys that are hunting in whittier in small boats, you can google weather in whittier real easy. No sense at all in driving all the way there and paying the tunnel just to find you are blown off the water for the day. Bud
