Default shipping out of alaska question.

Hi guys i just want to make sure that i do everything properly on my end. I have a guy that wants my weasel carcass but lives in the lower 48. In the regs it only talks about shipping fur that i need to go get a tag for shipping. If i am just shipping the carcass. Do i need to have one of those permits?

Your selling the guy just the carcass, right? You have already removed the fur. No, you do not need any kind of permit. Fur export permits apply only to the fur. If you were shipping the whole animal, fur and all, then you would need to use the permit.

Weasels are great for this! We are articulating a couple moose, bears, wolves, and a lynx in my A&P class right now. they are all cleaned and come in giant boxes. Kids love it! I actually teach the kids to make smaller articulated skeletons for extra credit if their interested. I supply the weasels. Great project, takes about 12 hours.
