    Default Fairbanks area marten

I was wondering what kind of habitat marten prefer up here. A friend and I have had traps out since the 1 november in low flat areas close to a slough and some up more in the hills, but we haven't had any luck. Any pointers?

What does the snow say? If there's no marten sign ( tracks ) then why set for marten there? But if there's sign and your just not catching anything then maybe it's a lure/ bait issue or maybe your in an area where they don't like to climb. We need more info to truly answer this question

if you have any beaver meat use that they cant resist. also what the above said marten dont really move around much if there isnt tracks around dont set there, but there are plenty around town.

I have a question. I am new to trapping the marten and i am wondering how do you tell the difference in the snow between a squirrel track and a marten track?
