    Default Mailing rifle??

I want to mail a rifle from Wasilla to Fairbanks. From what I read on the USPS site, there should be no problem. Anyone know for sure on this question? Thanks for any info.

In state you are not required to use the FFL procedures, you only need an FFL when shipping to another state. You can mail it yourself in state. I have bought guns from guys in Alaska and had it shipped to my post office box in Fbks via USPS Priority.

    Alaska Cub,

You can ship firearms (long guns) to yourself in other states. For example, shipping a rifle to yourself to a post office address in Texas. As long as the person picking up the box does not open it.

The regs are in the FAQ section at the FAT website.
